I’ve worked in devised theatre, outdoor arts & puppetry
as a performer, writer, director and maker.

  • I created and hosted Edinburgh’s original Bongo Club Cabaret for 7 years

  • performed with the Edinburgh Puppet Company for 5 years.

  • appeared over 200 times in the street theatre show, 'The Incredible Bull Circus'

  • created 5 indoor shows as 'Inconvenient Spoof'

  • created 3 outdoor shows with Jon Hicks

I’ve performed throughout the UK and Ireland, in France, Belgium, Holland, Finland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Japan and China.

I’ve also taught Theatre Arts in HE and FE, including 17 years as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton, where I developed a wide range of exercises for training theatre skills - now contained in my book ‘Have You Heard About Mary?’.
